Headquarters Building
Headquarters Building

On January 1, 1975, the office was put in charge of Zhuoshui Main Canal irrigation area, which was established by the merger of Douliu Irrigation Association, Zhushan Irrigation Association and Jianan Irrigation Association.

The original office building had been built in 1953, but a new Irrigation Building was proposed due to the sudden increase in staff after the merger and insufficient space. In 1995, due to the increase in office business, a construction plan at the current site was approved in accordance with legal procedures. In line with the progress of the project, financial resources were raised each year. Although the cost was limited due to the hard work of dedicated staff, the planned building materials and layout were attractive, strong and practical. The irrigation building consists of two underground floors and nine above-ground floors, with a total area of 3,546 ping (1 ping = 3.30579 square meters). Work began on March 15, 1996 and was completed in April 1998.

The current location of the building is "Douliu Canal Memorial Hall" which is also the original location of Douliu Irrigation Association office.

During the period of Japanese rule, it was the original site of "Shoutian Temple" in Douliu, with the land forcibly expropriated by the Japanese. The office buildings changed from old to new, but the services remained the same.
